• ANSI Compliant Safety Vests : This page provides brief descriptions of some of the major categories of vests manufactured by Carolina Safety Sport that comply with the requirements of ANSI 107-1999.  All of CSS' ANSI vests meet Category II requirements, and we also offer a vest that complies to Category III.
• Traditional Style Vests:
• Traffic Vests  : Traffic safety vests represent our most traditional designs.  Basic safety vests offer a host of great features such as high visibility, easy adjustment and the ability for customization.  Most vests have reflective stripe materials, others use high-visibility background colors that are fluorescent.  This basic safety vests are used extensively for traffic control vests, parking lot attendant vests, law enforcement vests, inmate worker vests, emergency worker vests, fire and rescue vests.
• Chevron Vests  :Chevron vests provide high visibility especially for nighttime use.  The back side of a chevron vest has reflective stripe material arranged in a chevron design.  The fronts of chevron vests have two vertical reflective stripes and one horizontal stripe.  Carolina Safety Sport offers chevron vests that meet ANSI 107-1999 Class II.
• Identification Vests  :  Carolina Safety Sport's ProVis or Identification vests not only provide visibility, they provide needed personnel identification on the scene.  Carolina Safety Sport has dozens of "stock" titles that can be applied to these safety vests.  We can also customize titles for application to your unique safety vest.
• Incident Command Vests  : Incident command vests by Carolina Safety Sport are "poncho" design.  The slip over the head.  Like identification safety vests, incident command vests provide on-the-scene identifcation of personnel through the use of printed titles on the garments.  Reflective stripes are applied to the safety vests, and a version of the incident command vest meets ANSI 107-1999 Class II requirements.
• Recreational Uses Safety Vests : Carolina Safety Sport vests are not limited to workers.  Almost all outdoor recreational and sports participats can benefit from additional visibility.  Sports safety vests are used by hunters, runners, cyclists, bikers, skaters, walkers and many others.  High visibility fluorescent colors and reflective stripes make evening activities much safer with CSS products.

• Visi-Cool Mesh Vests  :  Carolina Safety Sport's unique Visi-Cool mesh provides breathability to safety vests.  This mesh is available in both fluorescent orange and lime/yellow.  It's construction allows these ANSI compliant vests to weigh less, be less confining and be cooler for the wearer.
• Solid Material Vests  : CSS has a wide range of base materials for its solid material vest line.  Many color options are available for these vests, and all comply with ANSI 107-1999.
• Economy Vests  : For pure value, nothing beats Carolina Safety Sport's xx-4ANSI-PC line.  Despite its low cost, this safety vest has great features such as 2" silver reflective stripe

material, three pockets and hook and loop closure.  It offers Class II risk protection. 
Fire Retardant Vests  : The Utilisafe vest, especially well suited for utility workers or others who might encounter flame or sparks, is made from 100% Modacrylic, lime-yellow, inherently flame resistant fabric. This safety vest meets requirements of ASTM F1506 and FTMS No. 191A Method 5903.  Also certified to meet ANSI 107-1999.   The Utilisafe fabric has the look and feel of cotton!  Reflective material is 3M silver 8930 reflective tape. 
• T Shirts  : Carolina Safety Sport offers a broad line of tee shirts especially suited for high visibility.  Conventinal tees, pocket tees, sleeveless, v-neck and long-sleeve shirts are available.  Shirts are available in both high-visibility orange or lime/yellow.  Reflective stripe material can be incorporated into the shirts, and they can achieve ANSI 107-1999 Class II.  A long-sleeve version meets Class III requirements.  In addtion to safety tee shirts, Carolina Safety Sport also offers polo shirt designs.
• Pants/Shorts  : Our pants and shorts are "overgarments" made to fit over existing clothing.  The fluorescent colors coupled with reflective stripes enhance personnel safety in the work zone.

Materials we use in the construction of our products: 

• Background materials  Carolina Safety Sport uses a variety of mesh and solid fabrics for the construction of its safety vests, safety ponchos, reflective arm bands and reflective flags.
• Reflective materials  : CSS uses high-visibility reflective tape and processes from respected and innovative suppliers such as 3M Scotchlite and Airex from Safe Reflections, Inc.
